commissions...

Each commission is unique. I work closely with the client developing ideas around the piece sourcing fabrics or using the fabrics or finds that they bring to the project.
Clients have brought me antiques, heirlooms, dilapidated chairs, from their local re-cycling centre or pieces of furniture salvaged from car boot sales or skips. I have stripped them down, repaired, re-sprayed and recovered them with beautiful and often hand finished fabrics. Seats have been covered with a favourite, old sheepskin jacket, beloved baby clothes or decorated with diamante and charms from far flung places.
Commissions for special occasions have involved wedding chairs for the
Bride and Groom and chairs for birthdays. Boutique shops and businesses have commissioned pieces for shop window display or as an advertising feature. Heirlooms and antiques pieces have been fully and traditionally restored to their former glory and a time capsule hidden in the spring bed for future generations to discover.
